Looks like Alex has got a good thing getting started there. I visited today, both the lens about it and the site itself, and both were well worth the time invested. The 2 things I liked best about the lens were the interesting widget he used to highlight the books, and the concept of link wheels, which I had never heard of before.
Then I visited Crabby's Beach itself, and was impressed by the idea, but just a teesy bit confused by the execution, although that's a result of my brain fog and not a reflection on Alex's work. I like that it's going to be a community of Squids, which will be a wonderful way to keep up with my squid-buds, and I am going to participate once I figure out where I'd best fit in.
The only problem I foresee is personal - I'm going to have to build myself a Squidoo Home Page and link to all the Squid-Spots I love, because my bookmarking system is over loaded now.
I love love love Crabbys beach. I currently have 2 blogs there and I'm brainstorming for another. The beach party is a blast! I love that we're all connected.
This is going to be a very powerful community of blogs. Come and join us! The costumer service is also excellent, any bugs reported are address very quickly and this is amazing with all alex is doing right now.
I have 3 blogs at Crabbys! We have a great time at the Beach Party too! Everyone should come on in, the blogging is fine!
