At squidoo? Not particularly. I'm doing so much there, and seeing such steady growth in visitor numbers and sales, that I feel quite on schedule. I DO feel unproductive about my original site. Squidoo and blogging have taken me away from it and there are several projects I should be doing there that are starting to line up.
I think, now that summer school has finished, that I should be giving my own site some more TLC.
Yes, but it is my own fault. I sit and look at my lensrank some days and say "Oh, woe is me, " instead of trying for some fresh creativity. Or I spend time visiting all the fun lenses and playing instead of working ;) (this is more likely the case!) See you on the fun lenses!
What would one consider productive? Can the same definition be applied to other sites? How about life in general?
I see productivity as a measure of throughput. What am I producing towards set goals, and am I being efficient at reaching my goals?
My goals at Squidoo have changed from promoting my store to contributing to the community. That being said, I feel happy about my productivity by measuring the throughput of quakity lens crafting, peomotion of others, and helping those who ask.
In other words, I don't put up the number of lens others do, but because of my efforts more lensmasters are feeling confident about their talents and skills and are producing. In the end, Squidoo is better for the quality of the lensmasters and their work, not because of one person who creates tons.
