I love the featured lenses module too - but I really appreciate the Amazon Spotlight module as well. It works so well: gives a nice big picture (got to love pictures), and room to describe that specific product. And it forces you to really pay attention to what you're selling.
I love the dual module. I can use it to host a debate on my lens, get feedback on two aspects of a lens or topic at the same time, or use it for questions with only two possible answers in place of the poll module. I love that people who participate can easily twitter that they've participated or email it and send more traffic to the lens.
I also think it's better for my visitors to be able to not just answer yes or no, but be able to explain their answers. This gives my visitors a better experience and it also allow me to get to know my visitors better.
Getting to know my visitors is only going to make my lens better, and who knows, I may find more interesting lensmasters with interesting lenses to read and feature.
I guess I kind of have a crush on that dual module. :)
Without a doubt, I have grown to love the featured lens module. I get to give a little back to the community ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the link list. Get those clicks!! And give your readers more great info and freebies.
