The Barns Of Wake County

Old-time tobacco barns were an integral part of life in the rural South. Untold numbers of sticks of tobacco were strung and hung in them to dry through use of carefully controlled fires. Untold numbers of Pepsis, Moonpies, and Vienna sausages were consumed in their shade -- untold numbers of romances, squabbles and make-ups, too. Yes, what stories these barns could tell.
