Lensmaster RMS Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

RMS: I love making lenses but I think it's the Squidoo.com community that I am really passionate about. I've never come across such a huge group of people online who are all so willing to help one another. It's really a wonderful experience.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?

RMS: This is a hard question to answer because there are a lot of things that inspire me to make my lenses. Sometimes I make lenses about my favorite hobbies, sometimes I make them to share information and other times I just make them for fun. I guess it just depends on my mood for the day.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?

RMS: I have 196 published lenses and thousands more waiting in my mind to be built! [As of this posting, RMS has produced 200 total lenses!]

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?

RMS: Right now my highest ranking lens is Giant Squid Mentor, where I answer questions about the Giant Squid lensmaster program but I think my most popular overall would have to be my Best Panini Sandwich Recipes lens. It's been getting thousands of hits on a weekly basis.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?

RMS: The power of the Squidoo community as a whole.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?

RMS: I think the first thing a newbie to Squidoo.com should do is visit the Squidoo Answer Deck. That's the best place to go to learn the answers to all of your Squidoo questions.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

RMS: Actually it's my Giant Squid Community Showcase blog that I'd like the whole Squidoo.com world to know about. It's where I spotlight some of the best lenses made by the Giant Squid lensmasters. It not only contains praise for their lenses but also terrific Squidoo tips and lens crafting ideas and inspiration. Even though it only features lenses made by Giants, I think it's a great read for every lensmaster who is interested in becoming more successful at Squidoo.
