There's no doubt that you have just as much of an inquiring mind as I do. That's why I want to add something to the blog each day that will get our minds to twirling! How about Question Of The Day? Let's try it! Along with the usual daily review of at least one outstanding lens, there will be a question to ponder. Respond to it if you wish. I hope you will. I also hope, through this, that we will get to know each other better and really make it another tool for learning. My initial plan is to ask strictly Squidoo-related questions. But, as you probably know already, everything can be related to Squidoo! Let's see what sort of questions evolve as we go along. Feel free to send me yours. (Email below)
I want to honor Joan4 for having been the first lensmaster to have had more than one lens reviewed here, so I asked her to give us the first question. Here is her inquiry:
With the changes to the rankings display, do you plan to put a counter on each of your lenses? What is the best site for counters with no strings attached?
I'm quite happy with the amount of information displayed on lenses. What more would you want to have displayed there or on your profile?
ReplyDeleteThere are always counters for number of visitors - but I never like those personally.
I use a couple 3rd party statistics programs, though they don't add much in the way of information. I them to give me a graph of the total visits and page views to all my lenses.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a review about StatCounter.com and SiteMeter.com on the forum: http://squidu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=17494
I'm also having a play with Clicky - it's prettier and easier to use that the other two, but there's still a lot of info missing.
I've used StatCounter (free version) for my websites and find it to be pretty good. I'll have to look at Clicky - the fluffanutta's advice is always worth checking out! Cheers, Sallie
ReplyDeleteBeen wondering: Now that y'all have used your selected counters, how do you like them? Who uses StatCounter and how is that working for you?
