Florida Keys Vacation

It was practically one year ago. My husband and I loaded up the extra-long van and headed out to the Florida Keys. For almost Mile Marker 0, Key West, Florida Keys, Florida, USA. Buy from AllPosters.comtwo weeks we stationed at a lovely resort motel on Islamorada and spent most of our time going up and down the islands fishing, eating, and taking over 2000 pictures! I have my own picture of (less professional than the print shown to your right) "Mile Marker 0" right here. Also, the picture I have at the lens, The Best Squidoo Lens NOT To Do, was taken in the Keys at Theater of the Sea. We will never forget that vacation; easily the best ever! One of my favorite pictures is this one taken as my husband and I stood alone looking down off of Seven Mile Bridge. It was amazing to watch the wildlife, to fish -- we let this hammerhead go, of course -- and to just drink in the peace and the breathtaking beauty that was there to behold. (A few more pix here if you'd like to take a look).

There is so much more to do there than what we did. Because of my motion sickness, we couldn't go out to the coral reefs -- didn't take my Dramamine in time. We spent only one day in Key West, we didn't get around to a sight-seeing plane ride, the Dry Tortugas, or the Dolphin Research Center, AND we sure missed not having a boat along with us! There's just too much to see and do in the time we had. But, traveling to the Florida Keys for a vacation is something I am ready to do again! If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. That's actually a spotted eagle ray. Awesome picture. Glad you enjoyed your vacation in this Paradise we call home.
