Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?
PopTopLady: I'd say it's the whole premise of the site. I, for one, was a little "scared" of hosting a website to promote my crafts (I can't even drag myself to start a blog...). Squidoo lets you put something together rather quickly with all the modules, it's visually appealing and it gave me a lot of exposure. I love to check the traffic on my lenses and where people are coming from and going to.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?
PopTopLady: I am sure there is room for improvement (there always is!)...but I can't think of anything right now.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?
PopTopLady: I only have 3 lenses right now and one is a little "abandoned". My whole purpose is to share my passions with other people: crochet, the environment and education. But I want to share things that I have done myself.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?
PopTopLady: I have 3: Pull Tab (Pop Top) Crochet (inspired by my recycled pull tab crochet) , Plastic Bags -- Let's Do Something About Them Or With Them! (inspired by my desire to make plastic bag crochet), and Hydroponics With Kids (started because of my school project called "Vincent Van Grow"). There are several more in my mind. I should change my lensmaster name to ProcrastinatorLady... =)
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?
PopTopLady: Unexpected, even though I wouldn't call it success...
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?
PopTopLady: Read the forums and FAQs and give it a try (that's what I did). It's so easy to edit the lens, I'd check them every day and improve as you go. That's how I crochet as well...
Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?
PopTopLady: Plastic Bags [Plastic Bags -- Let's Do Something About Them Or With Them!]..., because of the environmental issue. I don't think people realize the impact these bags have...they just see them as free garbage bags...
