CounselMom has created an interesting lens entitled All About Tear Bottles. These vials are also known by other names such as lacrymatories and tear catchers. Apparently, it used to be a practice to entomb loved ones along with vials of the mourners' tears. Nowadays, these really beautiful containers serve as meaningful and symbolic gifts of sympathy, condolence, and even joy.
